Six-year-old Roberto wanted nothing else but a new swimming pool in his backyard to enjoy throughout the hot days of a Pittsburgh summer. When he met with his wish volunteers, they ensured that he would get the above-ground pool of his dreams. Not only was this wish one that he could enjoy; his family and friends were now able to swim and enjoy never-ending pool parties that Roberto will host. And although he loves taking trips to amusement and water parks, he will now be able to live the same experience in his very own backyard.
The date was set and his wish came true. Endless pool parties and swim lessons would most certainly keep Roberto busy. Swimming will most certainly become a new favorite sport of Roberto’s, added to the list of baseball, football, hockey, figure skating, fishing and soccer. And although Sesame Street and Barney are his favorite TV shows, he will now have to watch at another time when he is not enjoying his time in the pool.
Enjoying pizza and French fries pool side, while coloring and playing board games, all of Roberto’s wishes have come true in his very own backyard… a priceless scene lived again and again.
